Citlali has got a number of tricks up his sleeves. You would too if you spend all your time protecting an ancient treasure inside a deserted Aztec tomb. During the day, he hides inside the tomb and creeps around every corner. However, when nighttime rolls around Citlali floats around in the night sky, blending among the stars. He's tough, intelligent, enthusiastic and a story teller! Citlali will talk your ear off all day long about what his life used to be like back in the olden days. He speaks fluent Nahuatl and hopes one day he can find someone who speaks it as well. One thing you need to know about Citlali is that...he's not always around. When he's not present, that's because he's probably...IN the present.
Citlali has the ability of being able to time travel. He gained this ability after he was assigned to protect an Aztec tomb. This means he must protect it at all times and that gives him the ability to time travel to the past and future to make sure his tomb stays safe and lasts forever. Citlali's immortality comes with its perks and downfalls. While he outlives all his friends, he can go back in time to when his friends were alive and see them again. It can't last though, as Citlali is always pulled back to his actual year, 1550, to protect the Aztec tomb. During one of his visits to present day, Citlali meets Mars. He becomes infatuated with him and desperately tries to learn his language. It took him awhile, but Citlali was finally able to learn enough English to hold a conversation with him. With improper grammar falling out of his mouth, Citlali initiates a conversation and gets Mars interested. He returns to his own time period elated and excited to return again.
