Ritchi started out as a goldsmith who lives in the mountains of what is known now as Mongolia's South Gobi province. After many of his customers moved away from the area, Ritchi ventured out and searched for a new home to have his business. After a long while of travel, he settled in King George's kingdom and began crafting beautiful works of art to sell to the village people. He takes so long to work on his golden pieces that Ritchi rarely has time for anything else. Perfection takes a long while! Ritchi's tail bangle and earring have a meteorite core after one crashed near his home many years ago. Sometimes the jewelry's etched designs will glow because of the meteorite inside them.

From time to time, Ritchi will pack up his belongings and venture out to meet with Retta, a beautiful piebald clouded leopard who has stolen his heart. Even though they can never be together, Ritchi still insists on finding her and making her a new piece of jewelry every few years.
