This grimy pup spends his days as a "rodent detective" in the sewers. That's what he calls it. His job is to catch the rats that live in the sewers and to dispose of them. Rigby takes his job seriously though. He tracks the rats down, pretending to be a supurb detective, and gets rid of them. Most assume he kills the rats, but Rigby actually sneaks them all out of the sewers and off to a nearby field. He has rehomed nearly 300+ rats so far in his life.
