Most people who meet Trank for the first time, assume he's being rude when he doesn't answer their questions. In reality, he's not answering them because he's taken a vow of silence. He was the one who decided to take the vow, and hasn't broken it for over 10 years. Trank travels the world in search of inner peace. He tries to help others along the way, to somehow make up for his past. He's fluent in sign language and finds that you don't need to speak in order to be understood.

At the age of 18, Trank was a much different personality. He was the top dog of his town with everything he wanted being given to him. Trank was a bully and with his words, he cut so deep into someone that should have been left alone. Trank holds all the blame for the death of his family and friends. He attributes it to his past inability to shut up and leave matters alone.

Now, alone, Trank is trying to come to peace with himself. He's 29 now and he's slowly making progress towards forgiving himself. The people he has met in his travels have helped immensly and he'll never forget them. Currently, Trank resides in New Zealand. He's been living there for two years and works as a builder to help rebuild homes that have been wrecked by natural disasters.​​
