1987
In upstate New York, Sweet Onion is born on Nov 7th and is the oldest in a family soon to have 24 kids. She loves being the oldest sibling!
1994
Sweets and her family pack up and move to New Orleans to be closer to her father's family. She is now closer with her 30 cousins from the area.
2003
High School is not one of Sweet Onion's strengths. She spends all her time in Home Economics baking for her friends, family, and teachers.
2006
Sweet Onion skips traditional college and enrolls right into a French Culinary School in NOLA. She is only 19 years old and surrounded by men.
2007
Meets and becomes close with many future friends while attending a culinary event in NYC. This is where she first meets Fey, her future roommate.
2008
Accelerates through her culinary program and goes to Paris, France for a two year mastery course at Le Cordon Bleu. She meets Auguste, her idol.
By the time of her 19th birthday, Sweet Onion found herself surrounded by lots of life long friends. She's a kind individual who strives to always do the very best she can. Her friends are often feeling like they're better off for having known Sweet Onion, and love her dearly for her can-do attitude and desire to learn new things!
2010
After graduating, Sweet Onion decides to set down roots in NYC to open a café in her own name. She struggles to find a place she can afford.
2011
The café is open and Sweet Onion struggles to run the place on her own, not yet making enough money to afford to hire on any help.
2012
Sweet Onion moves out of my apartment and into a smaller bedroom rental with her friend, Fey. Her spark for culinary arts is struggling to stay afloat.
2013
Word of her mentor's passing reaches Sweets and she temporarily shuts down her café to find herself again. She spends her time hanging with Radio.
2014
The Café is back open again after a rave review appeared about it in The New Yorker. Suddenly, Sweets cannot handle the demand and needs help.
2016
Sweet Onion hires on Lorelai, Ritz, and Fey as General Manager, Server, and Supply/Prep. There are a handful of regulars who drop by daily.

The ROAD TO perfect confections
Through all the friends she has made in the culinary world, there is one who stands above the rest; Atticus. Sweets and Atticus met after she traveling overseas to attend Le Cordon Bleu. They took to each other instantly, often practicing French while food prepping for their classes later that day. Atticus invited Sweet Onion on many of his weekend get aways.
On the opening day for Sweet Onion's Cafe, Atticus as there to lend support and congratulatory hugs. And later on down the line, when he was ready to open a restaurant in America, Sweets offered him a place to stay.
One of the only things that could get Sweet Onion out of bed during her year off was Radio insisting she come surfing with her. During their time out on the water, Sweets shared a lot of her past and current frustrations with cooking, often wishing she was back in France.
One day, a package arrived for Sweets at her apartment, sent to her by her dear mentor Auguste. It was a copper whisk, the very same one she had engraved her name into while studying overseas. He sent it to her before his passing, intending for it to bring her spark back.
Reinvigorated, Sweet Onion goes back to open her café!
After her Café's write up in The New Yorker, Sweet Onion was finding herself asked if she offered private chef's table tasting. This brought in a considerable amount of extra income to her Café, allowing Sweet Onion to hire on more help.
Lorelai was her first hire and continues to be one of her best friends to this day, acting as her GM. Ritz and Fey joined next and have never once let her down, proving that Sweet Onion's Café is the place for family!

Meet The Team
Lorelai
General Manager
Lorelai considers Sweet Onion to be her best friend, often opting to stay at the café past her hours to hang out. Lorelai gets shit done before it needs to be, always making sure others are set up to do the best that they can.
Fey
Food Supplier
Fey and Sweet Onion have been friends for a long time. Fey works as a produce supplier and offers to help out around the café from time to time as a prep cook. She enjoys the atmosphere and food too much.
Ritz
Head Server
Ritz is a single mother who enjoys the freedom a serving job gives her to spend time with her daughter. A lot of hardships in her life, and the death of her son, has made Ritz into a positive and determined individual.
